We Provide Humanitarian Aid Services Since 2001.
Jeevan Vikas Sanstha (Amravati Diocesan Social Development Society) is the voluntary, non-profit social development wing of the Catholic Diocese of Amravati, Maharashtra, India. It operates as a public charitable trust and society, registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950 and the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The Bishop of Amravati serves as the Chief Trustee and President of the Society, while the Director of Social Works of the Amravati Diocese acts as the Executive Director. The Society's activities span five districts in Maharashtra: Akola, Amravati, Buldana, Washim, and Yavatmal, covering 20 blocks/talukas and 120 villages. The developmental programs directly benefit 15,000 families. The Society's Governing Body, comprising seven members, meets regularly to discuss, plan, and evaluate various activities and programs. Under their guidance, the organization has steadily progressed in its developmental interventions.
As a committed development organization, Jeevan Vikas Sanstha implements several programs with the primary objective of serving the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable communities within its vast geographical area. These meaningful interventions have provided further direction and growth in achieving the Society's vision and mission. Despite being a Church-based social development organization under the Catholic Diocese of Amravati, Jeevan Vikas Sanstha's programs are deeply rooted in the socio-cultural fabric of the society. Over the years, the organization has brought itself closer to the life situations and real development needs of approximately 300,000 poor and marginalized families it serves.
The implementation and coordination of these activities are managed by a dedicated staff of 30 personnel, under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.
